Here's a few simple rules you need to follow when making and submitting your documentary.
Please read them through carefully...

  • Your school or teacher must have applied for a submission pack before you can enter the competition.
  • Your documentary must be no longer than 3 minutes.
  • All documentaries must be uploaded by the competition deadline on the 11th December 2013.
  • The documentaries must be based around the the competition theme 'Manchester: Science of the city'. 
  • You must not put the full name of anyone under 18 in your documentary. First names only if you are including names in the film. 
When making your documentary...
  • Do not put yourself, or others, in danger when making your documentary.
  • Do not act in a way which might be illegal or otherwise inappropriate or anti-social when making your documentary. Remember  it is important to respect others. 
  • There should be no swearing or other inappropriate behaviour in the documentaries. Your documentary might appear on-line to be watched by members of the public.   
  • You should ask the permission of anyone who you are filming and who can be easily identified in your documentary.
  • Ask permission if you are filming indoors in a public place, such as a museum or your school.
Any entry found not to have followed these rules will be disqualified from the competition.
